This mix settled in really well. No real tech problems and the song mix I think really works this week. I think you will like it.

Podcast Summary60s and 70s top 40 pop and rock with some Motown and blues mixed in. All done with a campy little twist, all in good fun. In a way, I try to emulate the DJs from the days when AM was king and everyone was larger than life. About TommyWhen I was in my teens, in the 60s, I spent years in s a medical rehab facility. One of the things I cherished was my little plastic 11 transistor solid state radio. I would listen to the DJs late at night. Their signal would fight through the static and hetrodyning and they would play top 40 pop music. I thought that would be neat to do that someday. Well I went on to other interests, but I still hold the fascination for the DJ. I have played with radio in one mode or another all my life. Working at WRFR got me back in the swing again. Well.....I just thought that would be neat to do a program that was campy and fun. But I wanted to capture some of that mystique of the 60s. Plus some of the fun I used to feel listening to the old top 40 shows that would often have fun and odd fact about the bands or the songs. So I have started fooling around with simulating the midnight AM radio heterodyne and changing my voice somewhat and digging up oddball facts about the songs. So I have played around with the concept and have heard from some that enjoy the fun and the odd ball "facts" and I hope you enjoy this project as much as I have. Phantom tracks is broadcast live from WRFR 93.3 FM/LP in Rockland Maine. The program is also streamed live from WRFR.ORG on Saturday's from 3 to 4 pm eastern. I try and get the recording of the program on the podcast as soon as I can after the show. Any comments are welcome, as are song requests (if I can find them) The show's email is phantomtracks@gmail.com
